Walk a Mile in Their Shoes

Walk a Mile in Their Shoes, asks commUNITY members to literally walk one mile in high-heeled shoes. It’s not easy walking in these shoes, but it’s fun and it gets the community to talk about something that’s really difficult to talk about: gender relations and gender based sexual violence. By wearing these shoes, participating members symbolically put themselves in the place of victims and survivors of gender based violence. This is for the sole purpose of raising awareness about the dire effects of sexual and domestic assault in our commUNITY.
