YWCA Chalk it Up

YWCA Evansville promotes the annual Chalk It Up to Awareness campaign during the entire month of October. Using anti-violence slogans, statistics, and sidewalk chalk, YWCA raises awareness about domestic violence through beautiful artwork and statistics portraying the harsh realities for survivors. Many local organizations and schools participate in this campaign each year with the goal of filling the sidewalks of every corner of our community with hope for a brighter tomorrow.

On Thursday, Oct. 19th, YWCA and community partners will be on Main Street from 11:00 a.m to 1:00 p.m. for a special Chalk the Walk event. Mayor Lloyd Winnecke will appear at 11:30 a.m. to issue a special proclamation.
